MediBuddy witnesses 42pc increase in online doctor consultation in Hyderabad 

Hyderabad, November 25, 2021: The city of Hyderabad is one of the most prominent and fast-growing IT hubs in the country. The state fosters many tech enthusiasts and is one of the key markets for the telemedicine industry. MediBuddy, India’s largest digital healthcare platform witnesses an over 42% increase in online doctor consultations on its platform. Additionally, the platform recently recorded data showing more consultations amongst men over women in the city of Hyderabad. The data and statistics reflect 15% more males relatively seeking doctor consultation on the platform for varying medical concerns. 

The digital healthcare platform providing multiple healthcare services and consultations in various medical departments saw maximum queries and consultations requested in the department of general medicine. Followed by consultations in dermatology for skin and hair-related problems, pediatrics seeking consultations for ailments and problems amongst kids, gastroenterology for problems concerning the liver and gastrointestinal tract, and gynecology department queries registered by women for queries relating to menstruation, PCOD, PCOS and pregnancy.

The maximum consultations on the digital healthcare platform were recorded amongst individuals in the age group of 19 to 30 consisting of millennials and young adults who are considered to be more adaptive towards technology and increasingly more health conscious. Trends also suggest that younger individuals are more cognizant of their wellbeing and take measures to keep their health in the best state.
