MechNacia 2026 concludes at Panjab University
The MechNacia 2026, the flagship techno-cultural fest of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, UIET, Panjab University, concluded today on a vibrant and enthusiastic note with a series of engaging cultural and fun-filled activities.
Chandigarh, April 17, 2026: The MechNacia 2026, the flagship techno-cultural fest of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, UIET, Panjab University, concluded today on a vibrant and enthusiastic note with a series of engaging cultural and fun-filled activities.
PU Registrar Prof. Y. P. Verma was the chief guest of the Prize Distribution Ceremony. Earlier, the concluding day began with intellectually stimulating and creative events such as Kon Banega Traveller, AutoCAD and Open Mic, followed by exciting competitions including Water Rocket, Groove Up, and Campus Hustle. The highlight of the day was the much-awaited Bhangra Performance, which drew energetic participation and audience appreciation. The fest concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony and a lively Band Performance, marking a grand finale to the two-day celebrations.
Addressing the Prize Distribution Ceremony, Prof. Y. P. Verma congratulated the organising team on successful completion of this wonderful techno-cultural event wherein students displayed their academic and cultural skills as well as showcased their managerial skills in handling such self-sustained events.
A key highlight of MechNacia 2026 was that it was a self-sustained initiative of the Mechanical Engineering Department, coordinated by Prof. Shankar Sehgal. All events of the fest were efficiently managed through external sponsorships, reflecting strong planning, resource management, and industry engagement by the organizing team.
The success of the event was driven by a dedicated student team, which included Chakshush K Sharma, Saksham Gupta, Diwanshi Sharma, Deepanshu and Rajnikant.
