MDU VC welcomes Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat upon His Arrival at Rohtak Varsity

Rohtak, June 25, 2026: MDU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia extended a warm welcome to the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, by presenting him with a bouquet upon his arrival at the MDU campus today.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia also presented Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat with a book detailing the life and contributions of the renowned social worker and public leader, Dr. Mangal Sein.
Subsequently, the Union Minister and other dignitaries paid floral tributes to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at his statue located on the university campus. The dignitaries planted saplings on the campus, conveying a message of environmental conservation, green development, and the nurturing of nature. During the visit, Union Minister Shekhawat praised the cleanliness, greenery, and aesthetic appeal of the campus, noting that the university's atmosphere is inspiring for education and personality development.
On this occasion, the university community also welcomed other distinguished guests, including BJP National Secretary Om Prakash Dhankhar, BJP State President Archana Gupta, and Haryana Government Cabinet Ministers Krishan Lal Panwar and Dr. Arvind Sharma. Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajpurohit, along with senior university officials, faculty members, and district administration officials, were present at the event.
