Mayor Inderjit Kaur, MLA Bagga and MC Commissioner Dr Gupta take strict stance; officials directed to expedite development works

With an aim to speed up the ongoing development works, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga, MC Commissioner Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta conducted a meeting at MC Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar on Thursday.

Ludhiana, March 5, 2026: With an aim to speed up the ongoing development works, Mayor Principal Inderjit Kaur, Ludhiana North MLA Madan Lal Bagga, MC Commissioner Dr Neeru Katyal Gupta conducted a meeting at MC Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar on Thursday. 
During the meeting, the concerned officials of various branches of the civic body were directed to submit lists of the ongoing works along with the deadline. 
Councillors Aman Bagga, Golu Bajwa, Neeraj Ahuja, Tejinder Raja, Narinder Bittu, Manjit Dhillon, Ashok Kumar, Harjinder Bali, Aradhna Surinder Atwal among others also participated in the meeting. 
Mayor Inderjit Kaur and MLA Bagga directed the officials to streamline the works. They directed the officials to improve coordination between B&R branch and O&M cell, so that the projects for installation of water-sewer lines and reconstruction of roads should not get delayed.
The concerned officials of B&R wing and Light branch were directed to ensure installation of LED street lights at all the missing/dark points.
Zonal Commissioner Jasdev Sekhon, Executive Engineer Raman Kaushal, Executive Engineer Sanjeev Kumar, MTP Vijay Kumar among other officials of B&R wing, O&M cell, Light branch etc were present in the meeting.
Mayor Inderjit Kaur, MLA Bagga and MC Commissioner Dr Gupta stated that necessary directions have been issued to the concerned staff. They have been monitoring the projects and no laxity would be tolerated in terms of development works and cleanliness. 
Mayor Inderjit Kaur and MLA Bagga stated that the state government led by Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Singh Mann is working towards sustainable development and no stone is being left unturned to facilitate the public at large.
