Ferozepur, January 27, 2022: A local leading NGO – Mayank Foundation celebrated 73rd Republic Day with the 41 visually impaired inmates on the campus of Home for the Blind and the National Flag was unfurled by Anirudh Gupta, President of the Mayank Foundation followed by patriot songs by the on a violin by inmate Yash Pal – “E-Mere Vatan Ke Logo, Zara Aankh Mein Bhar Lo Pani”,  students of local Dev Samaj Model School and solo item by Katia.
On this occasion, Rattandeep Kaur, District Programme Officer, Ashwani Sharma, Secretary, Ramesh Sethi, Manager, Ashok Gupta, Treasurer, and members of Home for the Blind were also present.
The inmates - mostly the school and college-going -  were presented a token of the gift of Sweat-shirts in collaboration with KG Exports.  On this occasion, 26 girls were also presented a cheque of Rs.2,100 each and motivated to excel in their desired fields by working hard.
Speaking on the occasion, Anirudh Gupta, President of the Foundation said it’s always a proud moment to attend the Home for the Blind especially today by celebrating Republic Day.  He assured all possible help to the organization.
Present on the occasion were Secretary Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Ghazal Preet Arneja, Principal Rajesh Mehta, Principal Ajit Kumar, Manoj Gupta, Sandeep Sehgal, Advocate Karan Puggal, Davinder Nath, Charanjit Singh, Kamal Sharma, Asim Agarwal, Deepak Sharma, Raj Kumar Kakkar Advocate, Prabodh Monga, Sushil Kumar Sardana, Avtar Singh Supervisor were present.
