Bathinda, October 28, 2025: The cancer survivors were felicitated during an event to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Bathinda on Tuesday. The survivors were felicitated to acknowledge their courage, resilience, and inspiring journey of recovery.
The initiative by Max was aimed to spread awareness about early detection, timely treatment, and the importance of emotional support in the fight against cancer.
The event brought together cancer survivors’ families, oncologists and healthcare professionals to celebrate stories of hope and healing. Pink ribbons, the global symbol of breast cancer awareness, adorned the venue as a reminder of solidarity and shared strength.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Vashistha, director radiation oncology at Max Hospital, Bathinda, said, “We are proud to stand with the survivors who have fought and overcome cancer. Their stories and journey inspire our ongoing commitment to compassionate care and community outreach.”
Dr. Neha Gupta, medical oncologist said, “Each survivor is a testament to the power of early screening, medical advancement, and unwavering willpower. Our goal this month is not just to raise awareness but also to encourage every woman to prioritize regular check-ups and breast health awareness.”
The program featured survivor testimonials, awareness talks by medical experts, and interactive sessions on preventive care and self-examination techniques.
