Master Quiz on environment draws enthusiastic participation in Ferozepur

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of the school Principal and other dignitaries, setting the tone for an engaging and knowledge-driven competition.

Ferozepur, April 7, 2026: Mayank Foundation, under its Environment Education Programme ‘The Green Carnival’, organised a ‘Master Quiz on Environment’ at Dass and Brown World School, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across the region. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of the school Principal and other dignitaries, setting the tone for an engaging and knowledge-driven competition.
Project Chairman Kamal Sharma said that the quiz witnessed participation from 16 school teams and 7 college teams, reflecting a growing awareness and concern among the youth towards environmental issues. He stated that the initiative aimed to promote eco-consciousness and encourage students to take responsibility for protecting the environment.
In the college category, Dev Samaj College of Education for Women secured the first position, followed by Guru Nanak College, Ferozepur in second place, while HKL College of Education, Guru Har Sahai stood third. In the school category, the host institution Dass and Brown World School, Ferozepur clinched the top position, with Doon Junior School, Ferozepur securing second place and St. Joseph’s Convent School, Ferozepur finishing third.
The winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs 2000, Rs 1500, and Rs 1000 respectively, along with trophies and certificates. The organisers congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of all participants, reiterating their commitment to nurturing environmentally responsible citizens through such initiatives.
