Ludhiana, August 8, 2023: A monumental stride towards environmental conservation marked as CT University's NSS unit joined hands with Round Glass Foundation Punjab to orchestrate an ambitious plantation drive at Village Swaddi Kalan. This noteworthy event witnessed an exceptional display of enthusiasm from students of BCA and B.tech CSE, collectively sowing the seeds of change by planting a remarkable 8500 saplings.

The driving force behind this significant initiative was the urgent need to safeguard our nation's precious biological resources and the livelihoods intricately linked to them, in the face of impending climate change. Recognizing the pivotal role that forests play in ecological sustainability, biodiversity preservation, and ensuring the security of food, water, and livelihoods, this collective effort underscored an unwavering commitment to a greener, more resilient future.

On this occasion Deputy Director, Department of Student Welfare Davinder Singh; Deputy Director, Department of Cultural Affairs Ms. Sarghi Kaur Barring, CT University; Harwinder Sohal, NSS Programme Coordinator and Assistant Professor, School of Engineering and Technology and from Round Glass Foundation Gursimran Singh Dhanoa, Dr. Rajneesh, Bharpoor Singh Students of CT Universiry were also present. From the Village Swaddi Kalan Sarpanch Lal Singh, Amandeep Singh, Gurtejpal Singh, Panch Jagdeep Singh, Panch Gurdeep Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Avtar Singh, and Satwinder Singh were present.
