Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Manipur are gearing up for the coming assembly elections to be held in February/March 2022. Major National/Regional Political Parties are busy giving final touches to their strategy, their pre-poll alliances and finalizing their candidates. In Uttar Pradesh what can be the expected pre poll alliances like Samajwadi Party –B.S.P., Congress will contest alone or have an alliance. Similarly, B.J.P. will contest all the seats on its own symbol keeping in mind the Yogi Adityanath factor and his popularity in the state specially on development, successfully tackling Covid-19 pandemic and creating atmosphere of peace in the state and Varanasi being the home constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah factor. Similarly, in Uttharkhand it will B.J.P vs. Congress or an alliance cannot be predicted as here Narendera Modi and Amit Shah factor will certainly yield positive results. Punjab can witness a multi corner contest in coming Punjab Assembly elections, when enemies become friends and friends become enemies in politics cannot be predicted. Earlier in the past five decades it was S.A.D.-B.J.P. Alliance and now it will be S.A.D.(B)-B.S.P. Alliance as S.A.D.(B)-B.S.P. Alliance was in 1996 Parliament Elections. All the political parties S.A.D. (B), Congress, B.J.P., Aam Aadmi Party, Lok Insaf Party, Independent candidates will certainly upset the predictions of victory of the candidates of various political parties. Who will be benefitted in the post assembly election results alliance or the national parties? People of Punjab want that peace, prosperity, development should be the priority of the political parties as Punjab is an agriculture state. In Punjab, various Congress leaders have locked their horns with each other. Senior B.J.P. Leaders are spelling out their words for early solution of the farmers agitation, Aam Aadmi Party is highlighting the Delhi model, S.A.D. (B) is focusing on agriculture issues. In this situation, the Voters will decide the fate of the political leaders. Who will win or lose cannot be predicted but one thing is clear that many political leaders will have to face the multi-corner contests.
