Malakpur Bet Observes Constitution Day

Ludhiana: On Day 8 of the ongoing Village Adoption Program, the team from NIFTEM- K (National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Kundli) organised a series of community-focused activities in Malakpur Bet to mark Constitution Day.
The day commenced with a respectful flag hoisting ceremony led by the Sarpanch of Malakpur Bet, Shri Gurvinder Singh Grewal. The event drew participation from students, teachers, villagers and the NIFTEM team, reflecting a strong sense of patriotism and commitment to constitutional values.
Following the ceremony, a Constitution Day rally was held across the village. Children, youth and volunteers actively participated, spreading awareness about fundamental rights, duties, and responsible citizenship.
A dedicated Self-Help Group (SHG) meet-up was also organised, where women from local SHGs engaged in discussions on income-generating activities, food processing opportunities, government schemes, and entrepreneurship pathways. The interaction aimed to strengthen rural livelihoods and empower women-led micro-enterprises.
Separately, the NIFTEM-K team held a dedicated interaction with village cooperatives, focusing on strengthening collective marketing, improving access to government schemes, and boosting farmer incomes through value addition and organised supply chains.
To address important social issues, the NIFTEM-K team presented a compelling Nukkad Natak on anti-drugs. The performance highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraged youth to remain drug-free. Villagers appreciated the strong social message conveyed through the act.
Day 8 concluded with NIFTEM-K reaffirming its dedication to fostering community development, awareness, and rural empowerment in Malakpur Bet through sustained engagement and collaborative activities.
