Karnal, May 3, 2026: Maharana Pratap was not merely a warrior, but a symbol of self-respect, sacrifice, and patriotism. Even amidst adverse circumstances, he never compromised on his self-respect and dedicated his entire life to the defense of his motherland. His life serves as a source of inspiration for today's youth. These sentiments were expressed by Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan, Director of the Haryana Institute of Rural Development (HIRD), during a program organized by the Punjabi Rajput Mahasabha in Taprana village (Indri) on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the 'Veer Shiromani', Maharana Pratap.
MLA Ramkumar Kashyap attended the event as the Chief Guest. He said that celebrating the birth anniversaries of great personalities like Maharana Pratap inspires the youth to connect with their history and culture, and that we should strive to adopt their ideals in our own lives.
Presiding over the program, Dr. Virender Singh Chauhan remarked that Maharana Pratap's struggle conveys a profound message: a true hero is one who faces every adversity to defend their Dharma, culture, and nation. The Battle of Haldighati stands as an extraordinary example of valor and courage in the annals of history. We should serve society and the nation by embracing the ideals of Maharana Pratap.
Dr. Chauhan further noted that the Punjabi Rajputs are the descendants of ancestors who, during the Partition of the country, chose to abandon their homes and assets in order to preserve their millennia-old bond with Sanatan Dharma and the land of India; they did not succumb to any temptation or greed, nor did they deviate from their path to embrace Islam.
The Special Guest, Praveen Lathar, urged the community to stand united and follow the path laid down by these great personalities, emphasizing the need to cultivate a spirit of patriotism and social values among the youth.
During this event, prominent dignitaries were present, including Prahlad Chauhan (Advocate)—State President of the Punjabi Rajput Mahasabha; Satish Arya (Advocate)—State General Secretary; Arun Rana—Indri Constituency President; Vishal Rana, Navdeep Rana, Manohar Rana, Ravi Rana, Pradeep Rana, Ranvir Rana, Ajit Rana, Rajkumar Rana, Gulshan, Pawan, Deepak Rana, Rajendra Rathore, Ramesh Sarpanch, and Purushottam Rana.
