The month of November witnessed remarkable achievements by the NSS volunteers at both state and national levels, reflecting the college’s continued focus on youth engagement and leadership development.

Jalandhar, December 13, 2025: Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar is widely recognised for its strong commitment to the all-round development of its students. The month of November witnessed remarkable achievements by the NSS volunteers at both state and national levels, reflecting the college’s continued focus on youth engagement and leadership development.

Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur congratulated the volunteers for their outstanding performance in state and national level camps, youth parliament, workshops and experiential learning programmes. She emphasised that participation in such mega events not only enhances the personality traits of students but also strengthens the faith of youth in nation-building activities.

She further shared with pride that, owing to the exceptional work carried out by the college NSS unit, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has sanctioned an additional NSS unit to the college, marking a significant milestone for the institution.

NSS Programme Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that volunteer Gurwinder Kaur represented Guru Nanak Dev University at the North Zone NSS Pre-Republic Day Camp held at Chitkara University. Jaskaran Singh emerged as the only volunteer from the northern region to be selected for the National Experiential Learning Programme at Delhi. Volunteers Ekta Pandey and Vanshika secured top positions in the National Youth Parliament declamation contest at the district level and were selected for the state-level competition.

He also added that volunteers Rehan, Hadif and Amanpreet Kaur participated in a Legal Literacy Workshop organised at RGNIYD, Chandigarh, while Gurjap Singh and Damanpreet Nair attended a Youth Skill Development Workshop at the same institute. Additionally, volunteers Manish and Dilpreet took part in an Adventure Camp at Pong Dam, further enriching their experiential learning.

The NSS volunteers expressed their gratitude to the President and College Governing Council, the college Principal, Youth Services Punjab, and the NSS Regional Directorate, Chandigarh, for providing such impactful youth-oriented programmes at the state and national levels.
