Ludhiana Hosts Successful Water Conclave to Advance Industrial Wastewater Solutions

Ludhiana, June 23, 2025: Water Today Pvt Ltd, in association with the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) and the Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (APMA), successfully organized the Ludhiana Water Conclave, a focused industry gathering aimed at addressing the critical issues of wastewater treatment and sustainable water management across industrial sectors.
Held in the heart of Punjab’s manufacturing belt, at Hotel Park Plaza, Ludhiana, the Conclave brought together leading industry experts, technology providers, and policymakers for a day of dialogue, demonstration, and collaboration. The event provided a timely platform to discuss practical, scalable, and regulatory-compliant wastewater treatment solutions, especially in the context of water-intensive sectors like textile processing, electroplating, and auto component manufacturing.
Inaugurating the event, Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of CICU, emphasized the importance of such platforms in catalyzing environmental responsibility within industry operations. He also emphasised on the importance of rain water harvesting in industrial units. G. S. Kahlon, Vice President of APMA, delivered the keynote address, underlining the need for industries in Ludhiana and beyond to adopt cutting-edge water conservation and recycling technologies. Dr. S. B. Singh, Joint Director, CICU spoke about Industry Practices in Water Management and also mentioned the importance of the various technologies like zero liquid discharge, water recovery and recycling and  the need for sustainable solutions. 
Speaking at the event, Lalit Handa, CEO & Director Operations, Spray Engineering Devices Ltd which is the conclave partner for Water Today Pvt Ltd said  “Ludhiana is a hub of industrial growth, and with that comes the responsibility of sustainable water usage. This conclave has been designed to empower industry leaders with knowledge, solutions, and partnerships that support eco-friendly and compliant wastewater practices.”

Discussions also revolved around the new technologies available, and the role of industry bodies in enabling sustainable practices.
The event was a prelude to the upcoming Delhi WATER Expo 2025 to be held from 21- 23 Aug at ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The program concluded with a call to action for industries to collaborate more actively with technology providers and regulatory bodies to ensure long-term water resilience in the region.
