Ludhiana Group of Colleges Organize “World Tourism Day”

Ludhiana, October 1, 2018: World Tourism Day was conducted in the campus of Ludhiana Group of Colleges, Chaukimann. All students of BTTM 1st, 3rd and 5th participated in this occasion. Every year 27th September is celebrated as “World Tourism Day” as declared by the UNO. The students presented the assembly with the aim of showing different cultures of the world. The students began the assembly by singing a prayer song. The thought for the day emphasized that learning different languages and knowing about different cultures is what being a traveler is all about. Honorable guest Mr.Ajit Singh Manager of Holiday Times Tours delivered a guest lecture to the students. Various activities has been conducted on this occasion like, presentation, debates, charts, models,projects were related to Tourism Day. On this occasion an impressive presentation was made to promote world tourism in India by B.Sc third year student Arpit Gulati. Various activities were carried out by the students highlighting the theme given by world tourism organization. “Tourism for all promoting universal accessibility”. The activity included Tika, Rongali, Cake Cut Ceremony and above all small play on the about said theme by the students which enthralled the audience.We are proud to announce that our all students who made this day precious for our Institution. This exciting day of our students has filled us with extreme joy and pleasure. It’s difficult to express this joy in terms of words. From Management side Mr. Gurmeet Sachdeva ,Mr. Rajiv Gulati, Mr. Vikram Grover and Dr. Nishi Bala (Principal Mgmt.), Dr. Yogesh Kumar Chabbra(Principal Eng.),Dr. J.K Chawla (Director) and who helped and supported the students throughout the journey. B.Sc. 3rd year student Ramandeep Kaur got 1st position in chart making activity, and B.Sc. 2nd year students Anmol and Veenika got 1st position in model making. BTTM 1 year students Pardeep,Kajal, Manpreet got 2nd position in model making.B.Sc. 2nd year student Jasdeep Kaur got 3rd position in model making.
