LPU’s Performing Arts Students and Faculty launched mesmeric Music Video Albums

Jalandhar, March 16, 2022:  A group of students and faculty members at the Department of Performing Arts of Lovely Professional University (LPU) has launched two mesmerising Music Video Albums. Titled as “Russ Jaani Aa” and “Chalaaki”-the albums are based on complete cast, music, lyrics, drama and production from the School of Performing Arts at the university.

With lead voice from LPU’s Assistant Professor Dr Monu Kumar, PhD student Saahas Ramaul and graduating student Ankita are in the lead roles for the albums’ themes. Saahas has earlier also been featured with Bollywood Star Ranveer Singh, in the latter's famous show- ‘The Big Picture’ at Colors TV. LPU’s Alumnus Akshay Premi has created the video, Jind has versed lyrics and, above all, the videos are shot at LPU campus only. The imagery produced through characters as per the want of lyrics serves both musical and artistic purposes.

Music videos are important as these provide artists with chances to express their creativity and bring some visual visions of the song to life. The production of music videos also helps creators to get noticed in the golden world of creative media.
Dr Monu Kumar has also mentored hundreds of LPU students to win many top awards and accolades at national and international platforms- particularly at Association of Indian Universities’ national platforms. LPU Pro Chancellor Mrs Rashmi Mittal congratulated the talented students and the faculty member for stepping successfully into the field of their liking and preference.

In fact, the Department of Performing Arts at LPU is a leading institute in Northern India. Moreover, nearly 250 student-organizations at LPU also cater to the respective tastes and temperaments of the passionate students in diverse areas. One of LPU’s international students has also won Dada Saheb Phalke award for his short film ‘Poster’ in the student category; some others have significant roles and participation for singing, acting with Bollywood movies like Aamir Khan’s Dangal, popular reality TV shows and more.
