Jalandhar: An international student Sm Sammam Sakti Ibn Sahadat from Bangladesh at LPU is selected to be honoured with ‘Visionary Leader Award’. Occasion will be 4th Annual ISIEINDIA (Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers India) Excellence Award Ceremony to be held in June 2021 at CUTM in Andhra Pradesh.  Sammam was nominated under this ‘Award category’ for his outstanding services to promote best practices and contribute towards making India a true superpower.

Every year, ISIEINDIA recognizes individuals/institutions/organizations those have distinguished themselves by remarkable academic accomplishments, outstanding work, exemplary professional services, and personal excellence. LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal congratulated the truly internationalization-spirited and promising student on getting global recognitions in an early age. Mr Mittal added: “Sammam has deeply imbibed the compassion, and is continuously striving to bring happiness to the world. In present pandemic era, youth is a new face of the society. I am proud to feel that Sammam has made LPU glow globally through his devoted activities.”

In fact, Sammam has been constantly involved in philanthropic work. His exemplary leadership skills for the betterment of society have become a required change for the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs). A few days back, he was also announced as the ‘Most Aspiring Youth Activist and Global Youth Leader’ for his commendable work in the “UNITE 2030: Youth Action for Better World”. During this campaign, started by the UN to achieve SDGs, Sammam participated in the greatest number (90+) of actions and activities. Representing LPU, he will lead the chosen 250+ Youth Leaders of 32+ countries as a global leader in New York, USA, in September 2021.

Feeling happy to be honoured, Sammam shares: “Being at LPU, I have imbibed great spirit of service to the society. I am working on all of SDGs, including better education, zero hunger, and no injustice among others. I raised awareness about the importance of good health and well-being, and inspired the community to stand united and achieve these goals by 2030.” Illustrative, the UN, in 2015, visualized a great world, and developed a list of goals to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.
