LPU’s Annual Fest ‘One India 2025 : Gatha-E-Bharat’ United Cultures in a Grand Celebration of Diversity

Jalandhar; The mega annual cultural fest ‘One India 2025’ of Lovely Professional University concluded with grandeur and unmatched vibrancy, celebrating the spirit of unity in diversity. This year’s edition was themed ‘Gatha-e-Bharat: Narratives of Monuments and History’, reflecting the timeless tales, architectural marvels, and cultural heritage that define India’s glorious legacy. The two-day extravaganza brought together 35,000+ students who displayed the rich traditions, art, and culture of 28 states and 8 union territories under one roof. The lively thematic stalls of each state offered a glimpse into the cultural essence of its region, through traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, and authentic cuisines.

The grand finale witnessed a spellbinding display of talent, energy, and creativity. Audiences were captivated by the One World Dance Concert and ‘Jhoomo Re– One India Dance Concert’, where students performed a magnificent fusion of traditional and contemporary dance forms, seamlessly blending regional folk styles with global musical expressions. From the graceful moves of Tamil Nadu and Kerala to the vibrant performances representing Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, each act became a tribute to India’s diverse cultural heritage.

Adding a touch of glamour was the One India Fashion Show, where students walked the runway in stunning ensembles inspired by the traditional attire of every Indian state. The ramp came alive with colors, patterns, themes and creative flair, presenting a harmonious blend of heritage, contemporary aesthetics, mythology and modern design.

Beyond the cultural showcases, the event also served as a dynamic commercial hub. Under LPU’s Edu-Revolution initiative, students seized the opportunity to set up stalls for their small businesses, driving significant revenue. These included souvenir shops, floral bouquets, handmade jewellery and candle stalls, unique regional food items like pickles by Arunachal Pradesh, Chhath Puja food by Bihar, Kashmiri dry fruits and stoles, and popular street food like ghewar, shardai, panipuri, and chat papri.

The 'One India 2025' fest was more than just a cultural event; it was a vibrant hub of opportunities where students demonstrated their 100% commitment from idea conceptualization to execution. The success of the student-run ventures emphatically showcased how, when given the freedom to work, students can unleash unparalleled creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
