LPU Secures 31st Rank Among all Government and Private Universities in India's NIRF Rankings 2025

Jalandhar, September 4, 2025: The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) India Rankings 2025, placing Lovely Professional University (LPU) as the 31st top-ranking university in the country amongst all government and private institutions. This consistent placement within the nation's top tiers reiterates LPU's stature as a leading academic powerhouse.
 
Demonstrating significant strength across diverse disciplines, LPU has achieved remarkable rankings in all categories. Pharmacy leading at 13th rank, followed by Agriculture & Allied Sectors at 17th, Architecture & Planning at 24th, Law at 26th, Management at 44th, and Engineering at 48th. Moreover, LPU has been ranked 40th among Research Institutions, reflecting its growing impact in scholarly contributions.
 
Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, reflected on the achievement, stating, "These rankings are a welcome acknowledgment of LPU journey, and the impact we create through education. This year marks the 10th edition of the NIRF Rankings, which assessed institutions across 17 categories, including Overall, Universities, Colleges, Research Institutions, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Architecture and Planning, Agriculture and Allied Sectors, Medical, Dental, Innovation, and others. Participating institutions are evaluated on five key parameters - Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), and Peer Perception (PR).
