LPU Opens More Doors to Higher Education through Scholarships and “Earn While You Learn” Opportunities

Jalandhar; June 11, 2026: At a time when the cost of higher education continues to influence students' academic choices, Lovely Professional University (LPU) has expanded its scholarship and financial aid ecosystem, with more than ₹100 crore disbursed in scholarships last year and nearly 70 percent of students receiving some form of financial support. The initiative is rooted in LPU’s long standing belief that talent and determination should never be limited by financial constraints. By creating meaningful opportunities for deserving students, the university seeks to support their academic aspirations, professional growth, and long term success.

LPU presents one of India’s most comprehensive scholarship and financial aid frameworks for the academic year 2026, covering 150+ programmes from Diploma to Ph.D. level. The university has created multiple pathways through which students can access financial assistance. Merit remains one avenue, but scholarships and aid are also available for students from economically weaker families, orphan students, persons with disabilities, individuals affected by spinal cord injuries, children of single mothers, single girl children, wards of defence personnel, children of educators, sportspersons, cultural achievers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and researchers.

The scholarship ecosystem also acknowledges families whose contributions often shape society in profound ways. Through the LPU Rakshak Samman Anudaan, financial assistance is extended to serving defence personnel, ex-servicemen, gallantry award recipients, and their dependents. Similarly, the LPU Shikshak Samman Anudaan supports the wards of full time educators, recognising the role teachers play in building future generations.

Talent often finds expression in different ways, and the scholarship ecosystem reflects that diversity. Whether through sports, cultural pursuits, social service, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, or startup ventures, students with achievements can access scholarship support, with benefits in various categories covering up to 100 percent of programme fees and additional residential support.

Alongside scholarships, LPU is also strengthening its “Earn while you learn” ecosystem, which enables students to work on live industry projects, consultancy assignments, startups, hackathons, internships, and innovation driven initiatives while studying. According to the university, students are increasingly gaining professional exposure and financial opportunities through industry linked learning integrated into the curriculum.
