LPU Hosted 17th Edition of Montrose Runway Fashion Week Promoting Social Good through Fashion
LPU, in association with the Montrose and Beti Foundations, hosted the event—transforming fashion into a force for good through social initiatives.

Jalandhar: The Lovely Professional University (LPU) campus became the backdrop for the 17th edition of Montrose Runway Fashion Week; A Show for a Cause, where students from the School of Fashion Design gained invaluable first-hand experience in the professional fashion industry. The event brought together esteemed designers, industry veterans, and enthusiastic student talent, all aligned with a powerful mission, to support the girl child and uplift underprivileged communities.
LPU hosted the event under the aegis of the Montrose Foundation in association with the Beti Foundation, the event directed proceeds from sponsorships and registrations into transformative social initiatives, turning fashion into a force for good.
From fresh faces to seasoned professionals, the runway saw the grace of over 50+ models; majority of them were LPU students, presenting breathtaking ensembles crafted by renowned designers such as Mr. Sadiq Raza (Kuwait), Ravi Rajoria, Anushka Montrose, Ravi Jassal, and Vikas Chavan. But the impact of the evening extended far beyond the ramp. As LPU students took center stage not just as models, but also as coordinators, stylists, and production crew, working hands-on with leading fashion professionals. The event exemplified LPU’s strong emphasis on experiential learning where classrooms extend into real-world platforms, allowing students to lead, learn, and leave a mark.
The major limelight of the event was the heartfelt performances by specially-abled artists whose inspiring talent moved the audience to a standing ovation. Their presence and artistry sent a resounding message that fashion, like society, must embrace diversity and champion inclusivity.
Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, and Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, graced the occasion, lauding the initiative and its profound impact. Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal remarked, “This event is a clear example of what education at LPU aspires to be, a bridge between academic learning and purposeful action. When students step onto platforms like these, they do more than showcase fashion; they embody values, voice causes, and become ambassadors of change. LPU believes in nurturing not just talent, but humanity. This is how leaders are shaped not just by skill, but by spirit.”
The event Powered by the World Designing Forum and co-powered by Jockey, the show was conceptualized by founder Mr. Vishal Montrose and co-founder Mr. Nitin Bhardwaj, with Mr. Nitin Singh Thakur as co-organizer, Mr. Mohit Rastogi as show director, and Ms. Devyani Meshram as coordinator. Hosted by Mr. Aamir Khan and Ms. Diya Tomar, the evening was a masterclass in collaboration, creativity, and conscious fashion.
