LPU Fashion Students Showcased their Designs at Fashion Week 2025, Gaining an Experiential Edge
In a stellar display of experiential learning, 45 student designers showcased 136 self-designed apparel pieces alongside renowned designers.

Jalandhar; September 12, 2025: The journey for any fashion designer begins with a dream, to see their creations come alive on the prestigious runway of a Fashion Week. For students of Lovely Professional University (LPU), that dream became a reality far earlier than most, as they transitioned from academic studios to the spotlight at the chandigarh tmes fashion week 2025.
In a spectacular fusion of tradition and innovation, the first to fourth-year fashion students captivated audiences at The Lalit Chandigarh. The university's collaboration with fashion Week provided a unique industry-integrated platform, allowing 45 aspiring designers to present 45 exquisite ensembles comprising 136 garments. Each piece was thoughtfully curated around profound thematic concepts including Regal Embers, Kolam, Rangayan, Sindhuri, and Divine Feminine—narratives that came alive through meticulous craftsmanship, sustainable practices, and contemporary design that honored India's rich textile heritage.
The students' work demonstrated remarkable attention to detail, technical mastery, and conceptual depth. Their designs featured innovative silhouettes, intricate textile manipulations, and a sophisticated color palette that seamlessly blended traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. The collections stood out for their coherent storytelling and professional execution, drawing appreciative responses from industry experts and fashion enthusiasts alike.
The fashion week also featured meaningful collaborations between emerging and established talent, with LPU students sharing the platform with renowned designers Anjalee Arjun Kapoor, Sidharth Kakkar, Babi Grewal, and Chhavvi Aggarwal. The event reached its pinnacle when celebrity showstoppers Aparshakti Khurana, Sonal Chauhan, and MadhurimaTulli graced the runway, wearing creations from both professional and student collections, highlighting the seamless integration of academic excellence and industry professionalism.
The LPU participation exemplified the university's commitment to experiential learning. Under faculty guidance and industry mentorship, the team of student designers, supported by backstage coordinators and models, managed all aspects of their presentation from initial concept development to final runway execution. Consistent mentor guidance helped students refine their vision, develop industry-ready skills, and gain the confidence to present alongside leading professionals. This comprehensive involvement provided invaluable real-world experience in fashion production and presentation, reflecting the university’s role in leading an education revolution that bridges classroom learning with global industry platforms.
Dr. Pavitar Parkash Singh, Senior Dean and Head of the School, stated, “What our students accomplished here is the core of our educational ethos, transformative learning through doing. They engaged not as spectators but as collaborators in a professional ecosystem, networking with luminaries and executing a world-class production. This is how LPU cultivates leadership and drives an education revolution, by placing students at the frontier of their field from the outset.”
