Lockdown imposed in Urban Estate 1 and 2 of Dugri from 9 pm today till further orders: District Magistrate
Says decision taken as 70 cases reported in areas in last few days

Ludhiana: District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma have informed that due to high number of COVID19 positive cases in the area, Urban estate phase 1, Dugri and Urban estate phase 2, Dugri, Ludhiana
have been declared as containment zones. He said that these two areas will be sealed 100% (Lockdown) with effect from 9 pm today, i.e. on 18-4-2021 (Sunday) till further orders.
He said that a containment zone is formed when 15 positive cases are reported in a particular area, but more than 70 cases were reported in Urban estate phase 1, Dugri and Urban estate phase 2, Dugri, Ludhiana recently.
He appealed to the residents of these two areas to make appropriate preparations accordingly in the interval period of next 7 hours provided by the District Administration.
Meanwhile, it is clarified that financial services such as banking etc being essential will not be stopped during lockdown in Phase 1 & 2 of Urban Estate Dugri Ludhiana.
