Livasa Hospital Mohali completes over 500 neuro-navigation surgeries

Chandigarh: Livasa Hospital Mohali on Thursday announced successful completion of over 500 neuro-navigation guided surgeries.
While addressing a press conference here today, Dr Vineet Saggar, director neuro & spine surgery highlighted the team’s growing expertise with navigation-assisted procedures and its positive impact on surgical accuracy, safety and patient recovery.
He also explained how neuro-navigation works and why it has become an essential tool for modern neurosurgical practice.
He said,” Neuro-navigation is an advanced computer-guided system that allows neurosurgeons to visualise the brain and spine with exceptional accuracy during surgery. It is like a GPS for the human nervous system, and it uses MRI/CT-based 3D maps to help surgeons navigate delicate structures with precision.
Dr Saggar further shared that the technology has become indispensable for treating brain tumours, complex spinal disorders, traumatic injuries and other high-risk neurosurgical conditions, enabling smaller incisions, reduced tissue disruption and quicker recovery.
Dr Ajay Singh consultant neurosurgery emphasised that surpassing 500 cases is the result of a deeply coordinated effort across neurosurgery, anaesthesia, radiology, the operating theatre team, nursing units and critical care.
Anurag Yadav, CEO, Livasa Hospitals said, “This milestone is a collective achievement of our teams who work with dedication and humility every day. We are grateful for their commitment and remain focused on elevating the quality of care for every patient.”
“Reaching this stage has been possible only because of coordinated teamwork and a culture rooted in patient-first values. We will continue strengthening our systems and investing in capabilities that benefit the community, said Dr Amarpreet Singh VP operations, Livasa Hospital Mohali.
