Lecture Organized at Ramgarhia Girls College to Commemorate the Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji

Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur and as per the directions of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Punjab, the PG Department of Punjabi at Ramgarhia Girls College, organised various activities throughout the month dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. These activities included a quiz, poetry recitation, speech competition, poster making, slogan writing, and a special lecture based on the teachings and sacred verses of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. 

Lecture Organized at Ramgarhia Girls College to Commemorate the Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji

Ludhiana, November 15, 2025: Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur and as per the directions of the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Punjab, the PG Department of Punjabi at Ramgarhia Girls College, organised various activities throughout the month dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. These activities included a quiz, poetry recitation, speech competition, poster making, slogan writing, and a special lecture based on the teachings and sacred verses of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. 
In collaboration with Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Ludhiana, a special lecture was held on Saturday, focusing on “The Life and Teachings of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.” On this occasion, Brijenderpal, Chief Organizer, and Jaspal Singh, Zonal Secretary of Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Ludhiana, were present as special guests.  Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur extended a warm welcome to the guests. 
Addressing the students, Brijenderpal Singh stated, “The teachings and ideals we receive from the life and hymns of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji remain equally relevant in today’s era. The commemoration of Guru Ji’s martyrdom becomes meaningful only when we adopt values like sacrifice, discipline, and selflessness in our own lives.” 
The second speaker, Jaspal Singh, also highlighted the bravery of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, saying, “Guru Ji was a valiant warrior who sacrificed his life in defense of faith and joyfully embraced martyrdom to protect humanity. He is remembered as a beacon of resilience and spiritual fortitude.” 
Principal Dr. Ajit Kaur addressed the students and shed light on the selfless life of ‘Hind di Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. She remarked, “Guru Ji showed humanity the path of unity. He sacrificed his life for righteousness and inspired us to move ahead fearlessly. As we commemorate Guru Ji’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary across the world this year, it is essential that we walk on the path of truth and uphold human values in our lives.” 
On this occasion, floral tributes were also paid to Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dyal Ji, who were martyred alongside Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. 
President of the Ramgarhia Educational Council, S. Ranjodh Singh, appreciated such initiatives undertaken by the college, which helped students connect with their rich history. 
In the end, Dr. Harbinder Kaur, Head, PG Department of Punjabi, extended a vote of thanks to all present guests.
