Krishi Mach Expo 2026 Opens to Strong Response at Sector 17 Parade Ground, Chandigarh
Krishi Mach Expo 2026, a national-level exhibition focused on agricultural mechanization, agri-technologies, and research-driven innovation, commenced today at the Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh. The three-day expo (13–15 March 2026) is being jointly organised by DST-Technology Enabling Centre (TEC), Panjab University in collaboration with Fortune Exhibitors Pvt. Ltd. and State Support Mission (SSM), Haryana.
Chandigarh, March 13, 2026: Krishi Mach Expo 2026, a national-level exhibition focused on agricultural mechanization, agri-technologies, and research-driven innovation, commenced today at the Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh. The three-day expo (13–15 March 2026) is being jointly organised by DST-Technology Enabling Centre (TEC), Panjab University in collaboration with Fortune Exhibitors Pvt. Ltd. and State Support Mission (SSM), Haryana.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Dr Raj Nehru as Chief Guest, along with PU Vice Chancellor Prof Renu Vig, Pro VC, Chandigarh University Prof Raghuveer V. T., Prof C. R. Suri, Prof Rupinder Tewari and Prof Manu Sharma.
During the inaugural session, the speakers emphasised the importance of strengthening industry–academia partnerships to accelerate agricultural mechanisation, enhance farm productivity, and promote sustainable agricultural practices. The expo aims to facilitate Transfer of Technology from academic institutions to industry, enabling commercialization and wider adoption of research innovations developed by scientists and startups.
Krishi Mach Expo 2026 features over 120 stalls from companies and organizations across the agricultural value chain, including farm machinery manufacturers, dairy equipment providers, agri-input companies, agritech startups, and technology solution providers. Government departments and institutions are also participating to disseminate information on farmer support schemes, modern farming technologies, and innovation-driven agricultural practices.
A major highlight of the exhibition is the participation of leading academic and research institutions showcasing research-based technologies and innovations developed within universities and incubation ecosystems. Participating institutions include National Innovation Foundation, Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Punjab Biotechnology Incubator, Chandigarh University, Shoolini University, Panjab University, among others.
The expo will also host expert sessions and knowledge-sharing programs on emerging and traditional agricultural themes, including commercial fodder processing, bamboo cultivation techniques, carbon credit opportunities in agriculture, and the traditional farming practice of Nanak Kheti. A startup pitching session will also be organized to help agritech startups connect with industry stakeholders and potential investors. The first day witnessed an enthusiastic response, with thousands of visitors including farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and industry representatives attending the exhibition. Live demonstrations, product showcases, and technology interactions attracted strong engagement from stakeholders seeking practical and scalable solutions to contemporary agricultural challenges. The expo will continue over the next two days with technical sessions, product launches, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities aimed at strengthening linkages between industry, academia, and end users.
