KMV’s contribution to swacch bharat abhiyaan in full swing

Jalandhar, October 5, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar is colossally contributing to the cause of environment. Throwing more light on this, Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that we have made tremendous and substantial contribution to the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. KMVites have carried many cleanliness drives, awareness campaign to make city a polythene free zone and tree plantation campaigns etc among others. The students of KMV carried a `Swacchta Abhiyaan’ at the green belt and triangle opposite Circuit House, followed by a spirited cleanliness drive at Company Bagh. Many trees were also planted at the triangle. Diprava Lakra, Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Jalandhar graced the occasion to motivate the students. Then followed the cleanliness drive at Company Bagh. The students picked plastic bags and polythene bags. They also put garbage in the sacks brought by them to give the message of 'Keeping the Environment Clean'. Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi further maintained that such drives are a regular feature here at KMV. We also sensitize the students about pertinent social and environmental issues and always motivate them to be contributory to the social well being. She concluded by saying, “This to me is the part and parcel of education and we here at KMV stress on value- based holistic development of our wards.”
