KMV’s NCC Cadets shine at Combined Annual Training Camp; Secure Top Honours in Military Training 

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-33) held at Jalandhar Cantt. The 10-day camp was organized by the 2 Pb (G) Bn NCC Jalandhar, with the objective of providing cadets practical exposure to military life, discipline, and structured training.

Jalandhar, April 10, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-33) held at Jalandhar Cantt. The 10-day camp was organized by the 2 Pb (G) Bn NCC Jalandhar, with the objective of providing cadets practical exposure to military life, discipline, and structured training.
During the camp, the cadets underwent rigorous training sessions that included drill practice, weapon handling, first aid, communication skills, and leadership development exercises. They were also given detailed knowledge about various weapons systems. In addition, Army personnel conducted several informative lectures and workshops on SSB preparation, leadership qualities, and defence awareness, which significantly enhanced the cadets’ confidence, discipline, and overall personality development. The camp also served as an important eligibility platform for cadets preparing for B and C certificate examinations.
The cadets of KMV excelled in various competitions and brought laurels to the institution by securing a gold medal in solo singing, silver medal in group dance, silver medal in drill, and gold medals in pilots and guards events. Their achievements reflected their talent, discipline, teamwork, and dedication.
Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi stated that such training programs play a vital role in empowering young women and preparing them to become future leaders of the nation. She appreciated the efforts of the cadets and lauded Lt. Sufalica Kalia and the NCC Unit for providing meaningful opportunities for student growth. Commanding Officer Col. R. S. Lehal also praised the cadets for their outstanding performance and dedication, emphasizing the importance of defence training in shaping responsible and disciplined citizens.
