KMV’s NCC cadets excel at Combined Annual Training Camp cum PDLS-21

Jalandhar, July 24, 2023: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has an empowered NCC sub unit which actively participates in all NCC activities and training courses. The current training session began with combined annual training camp cum PDLS-21. The cadets were trained in various various activities like weapon training, map reading, firing et cetera. There were various competitions organised during the camp. KMV group dance was adjudged as the first, Cpl Bhanu got first prize in poster making while Cpl Geetika Sharma got gold medal for anchoring the culture show. 

In extempore speech again Cpl Geetika Sharma got second position. Cadet Natasha got third position in solo singing competition. S/VO Shweta Rana was given gold medal for helping in administration as camp senior, moreover, she also bagged gold medal for attending maximum number of national camps. Her turnout was also adjudged as the best for which she was given the gold medal. Cadet Rama got second position in the turnout category. For guard of honour and piloting Cadet Tanvi Pathania, Naina Kumari, Preeti Singh and Mandeep Kaur were also given gold medals. Cadets Amarjeet Kaur, Muskan Chauhan and Bhumi Chadda were selected for Pre-Tsc camp at Ropar in August. Overall, it was a very elevating and exhilarating experience for all who attended the camp. Out of 21 schools and colleges which were a part of 2 Pb (G) BN NCC Jal, KMV cadets bagged the maximum number of medals. It is pertinent to mention that 43 cadets completed their annual training successfully. 

Principal Prof Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such trainings are vital part of holistic education. She lauded the Department of NCC for providing such opportunities and for working zealously to come up with a variety of opportunities and activities everyday so that the students can emerge as the future leaders of the Nation.
