KMV’s athletic team bags third position in Athletic Meet organised by GNDU

Jalandhar, November 21, 2021: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), one of the most prestigious college of the nation not only provides a suitable environment for academics, but it also holds an upper niche over the other colleges in the field of sports also. In an another major achievement, KMV’s athletic team secured third position in Guru Nanak Dev University Athletic Meet held at GNDU, Amritsar. Athlete Radha Kumari consecutively secured Gold medal in 5000 Meter Event and 1500 Meter Event respectively. Athlete Ram Kumari secured Silver medal in 10000 Meter and 21 Kilometre Event and athlete Manpreet Kaur bagged Bronze medal in 800 meter event. 
In addition, in 4X400 Relay race, KMV’s team comprising of Radha, Sameena, Manpreet and Shailpreet also secured Silver medal. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students on their achievement. She averred that players at KMV are provided many facilities which include free education, hostel, mess & transport facilities. They avail a lot from state of the art infrastructure comprising Gymnasium, Health Club, Swimming Pool and sprawling play grounds. All these exceptional facilities elicit such excellent outcomes. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi also adumbrated that KMV will continue to provide these facilities to the students who continue to prove their mettle in sports arena. Madam Principal also lauded the efforts of Dr Davinder, Mr Swaran Singh & Mr Narendar Singh for this achievement.
