KMVites Applauded by District Administration Jalandhar for SVEEP Drive

Jalandhar, April 10, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar participated in activities under SVEEP Initiatives organized by District Administration, Jalandhar. This awareness program was jointly organized by KMV and district administration, Jalandhar for the purpose of Voter Awareness.
On this occasion, Mr.B.Purushartha, Divisional Commissioner , Mr.Varinder Kumar Sharma, Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, Mr.Jasbir Singh, ADC, Mr.Kulwant Singh, ADC, Mr.Himanshu Jain, Madam Ashika Jain and Mr Surjit Lal were present. KMVites displayed their talent and spirit for the cause of voter awareness drive by displaying rangoli with spirited slogans like ‘Proud to be Voter’, Let no Voter be left out etc. A rangoli depicting the theme of voting rights also mesmerized the audience. Mr. B. Purushartha, Divisional Commissioner applauded the efforts made by the students of KMV and also presented them the certificates during the felicitation ceremony.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi maintained that such events create awareness in the masses and KMV is also playing a pivotal role in these kinds of programs initiated by district administration. She averred that KMV have always been committed to the national causes with a rich legacy of 133 glorious years & due to its legacy KMV has joined the administration in its initiative of creating massive participation of voters especially among the youngsters. SVEEP program and activities such as rally, street play, slogan writing and many such related activities will help the program gain impetus and are the need of the hour. She also congratulated the organizers Mrs. Ashima Sahni, Mrs Vibhuti Kalra and their team for this great initiative.
