KMV signs MoU with media and entertainment skills council

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV) signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Media & Entertainment Skills Council, New Delhi duringan event ‘Manthan: Impeccable Academia’ held at New Delhi. Minister of Human Resource Development, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Chairman of Media and Entertainment Skills Council, Sh.Subhash Ghai, CEO, Media and Entertainment Skills Council Sh. Mohit Soni, dignitaries and representatives of premier institutions participated in this meet. 

Under this MoU, the students will get mentoring and guidance from various industry experts of media sector as they will be invited to visit the college and impart practical training to the students. The MoU will also help the students to get industrial placements in the media sector as it will provide them with a proper industrial exposure. Field visits and industrial visits are also one of the beneficial features of this MoU. 

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that it is very important for all the stakeholders to come together to make skill development a success. She further maintained that KMV has always taken a lead in providing quality based skill education to the students as KMV was the first college in the region to be granted DDU Kaushal Kendra by Government of India and college is currently running seven skill based B.Voc. courses and three M.Voc courses in different fields. Moreover, KMV has also signed MoUs with various industrial partners for the placement & industrial training of the students.
