KMV prepares MBA and MCA Students for the AI-Driven Job Market

Jalandhar, September 7, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Technical Institute organized an insightful expert session on “CV and Resume in the Age of AI and ATS” exclusively for MBA and MCA students, equipping them with the essential skills needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven recruitment landscape. 
The session featured Dr. Vaibhav Pathak, Assistant Professor, NIT Jalandhar, as the distinguished expert. Addressing the MBA students, the speaker highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) in contemporary recruitment. He explained how resumes are increasingly screened, parsed and ranked through technology before reaching human recruiters. The session focused on helping students understand how to make their CVs more relevant, structured, and professional and aligned with modern recruitment practices. 
Dr. Pathak emphasized that preparing a resume in the digital age is not merely a technical exercise but an essential career-readiness skill. Students were encouraged to understand how AI-enabled recruitment platforms evaluate candidates and how they can effectively communicate their qualifications, skills, achievements and professional value to both technology-driven screening systems and human recruiters. The interactive nature of the session provided students with practical insights into the changing dynamics of recruitment. It encouraged them to rethink the conventional approach to resume writing and recognise the importance of adapting their career documents to the evolving requirements of the employment market. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who gained valuable exposure to the intersection of AI, technology and employability. The session served as an important step towards enhancing students' career preparedness and enabling them to navigate the increasingly digital recruitment ecosystem with greater confidence.
