KMV organises Alumni Talk by IIT Researcher on Career Insights and Competitive Exam Preparation

Jalandhar, May 5, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P. G. Dept of Zoology in collaboration with Centre for Competitive Exams conducted an alumni talk on “Career Insights: An Alumni Perspective” by Sheetal Ranaut, DBT Senior Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jammu. She delivered an enlightening lecture on career counselling talking about various opportunities a student can pursue after graduation. She also highlighted various research fellowships like CSIR-UGC NET/JRF, ICAR-JRF, GATE etc and guided students that how to prepare for competitive exams.
During the talk, Sheetal shared her journey at KMV, which helped her to achieve her career goals and also motivated the students for their future endeavours. Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the insights shared during the talk acted as an intellectual catalyst, sparking spirited and valuable discussion.
