KMV Launches Book Bank Initiative to Provide Free Books to Students

Jalandhar, July 30, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has commenced Book Bank which operates under the aegis of the Department of Student Welfare. KMV Book Bank is a remarkable initiative of Department of Student Welfare under which each semester students distributes free of cost books to the students in order to facilitate the students. This book bank is a regular feature at KMV and it will continue for 10 days so that no student who is in the need of books should be left out. It is pertinent to mention that this semester more than 500 books has been distributed. 
Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV's Book Bank is one of the wonderful initiatives of KMV. Students deposit the syllabus oriented books of their previous classes in the Book Bank and those who want to use the books can collect them from the Book Bank without a need to buy them. Moreover, students also become aware of their duties as responsible citizens. On this occasion, Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal also blessed the students and stated that KMV has always been a pioneer in all kinds of philanthropic activities. Students have received books on various subjects such as English, History, Chemistry & Mathematics etc. as students will continue donating and collecting more books in this duration.
