Khelo India Dialogue at UHSR on Aug. 27; PM Modi to Address Youth Virtually: VC Dr. Aggarwal
The Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR) will host a ‘Khelo India’ Dialogue at PGIMS, Rohtak, on August 27 as part of National Sports Day celebrations. The programme will be held at LT-1 from 10:45 am to 1 pm, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the youth virtually.
Rohtak, August 26, 2026: The Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR) will host a ‘Khelo India’ Dialogue at PGIMS, Rohtak, on August 27 as part of National Sports Day celebrations. The programme will be held at LT-1 from 10:45 am to 1 pm, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the youth virtually.
DSW Dr. Savita Singhal said the event is being organised in collaboration with Mera Yuva Bharat. UHSR Vice-Chancellor Dr. H.K. Aggarwal will attend as the chief guest.
Olympian wrestler Ashok Kumar Garg and international para table tennis champion Isha Khasa will share their sporting journeys and experiences with students. Garg represented India at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and World Wrestling Championships and is a recipient of the Arjuna Award and Bhim Award. Khasa won gold in table tennis singles at the 2015 Special Olympics in Los Angeles.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Aggarwal said sports promote physical fitness as well as concentration, discipline, teamwork and a winning spirit. He described PM Modi’s “Jo Khelega, Wahi Khilega” mantra as an inspiration for youth and said sports can help keep young people away from substance abuse and excessive mobile use.
The health varsity has completed preparations for the live broadcast and dialogue. Faculty members, residents, staff and students are expected to participate in large numbers.
