Kavita Katha Karvaan holds 2-day online kavi darbar 

Ludhiana: The 2-Day Online Kavi Darbar Dedicated to Yug Kavi, Prof Mohan Singh organized by Literary Organization Kavita Katha Karvaan (Regd) ended today. The event was started with the paying of floral tributes to Prof Mohan Singh by Jaspreet Kaur Falak, President of Kavita Katha Karvaan.

In the final Session, the Chief Guest was Canadian Poet Ravinder Ravi, who in his remarks suggested writers to read and create constructive literature. He shared his reminiscences with Prof Mohan Singh that Prof Singh was a poet, a publisher, editor and a University Teacher who know many languages, Persian, Urdu, English and Punjabi. Ravi described him as a great poet of our times branded as a Romantic Poet. Many of his poems such as Ambi Da Boota, Ma, Kudi Pothohaar di were gone famous with common folk, he said.  

The eminent poets who participated in the event included Davinder Gautam (Canada), Teji Chauntipura (Kuwait), Nadeem Afzal (Pakistan), Rajinder Jind (NewYork), Sehajpreet Mangat, Shailza Wadhwa, Akaash Tahakur, Dharminder Shahid, Harmeet Vidyarthi, Dr Davinder Dilroop, Ajitpal Jattana, Trailochan Lochi, Sunil Chandiyani, Jaspreet Kaur Falak, and Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman. Besides paying their tributes to Prof Mohan Singh these poets’ recited poems touching various subjects including, Nature, Environment, Village Life, Punjabi Culture and Values, Piousness of relations and the socially relevant themes of the contemporary society.

Toward the end of the programme, Dr Jagtar Dhiman, Registrar CT University, presented its wrap-up and recited  the unpublished poems of Prof Mohan Singh. He appreciated the Kavita Katha Karvaan for having organized a series of online events in the era of lockdown owing to COVID-19 pandemic.

The proceedings of the event were ably conducted by known poets Harmeet Vidyarthi and Dharminder Shahid. They congratulated the organizers and participants for the successful event. A large audience was connected with the event who offered their comments in the chat box and appreciated the programme.

The President of the Kavita Katha Karvaan, Jaspreet Kaur Falak proposed her vote of thanks to all participants and audience and highlighted the futuristic events.
