Kamal Sharma starts Clean India Campaign at Ferozepur

BJP Punjab president Kamal Sharma starts Clean India Campaign at Ferozepur on Saturday.

Ferozepur, September 27, 2014: Supporting the Clean India Campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kamal Sharma, President, Punjab BJP started a cleaning campaign today at Namdev Chowk, Ferozepur along with DPS Kharbanda, Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur.
Describing this campaign as Need of the hour, Kamal Sharma, said that this campaign should be spread to every nook and corner including residential places, railway stations, roads, markets, schools, hotels, government institutions, Panchayat Houses, Aanganwadi Centres, Community Centres, filthy ponds and other common places in the villages. He said, people should be encouraged to take care and maintain good scavenging around these places.
DPS Kharbanda, Deputy Commissioner, assured that administration is trying to spread the awareness among people up to ward level. He said that special nodal officers have been appointed for the success of this campaign. Besides, special instructions have been passed to various departments to organise seminar and meeting to make people aware more and more regarding this important issue.
Kamal Sharma said that people should be aware regarding the ill-effects of tainting. He said people can people can persist from diseases like cholera, malaria, typhoid and other horrific diseases. He urged everyone to support this campaign so that all the people could stay healthy.    
Mukand Singh, SDM, Zira, Ashok Behal, Secretary, Red Cross, and members of various NGO’s were also present on this occasion.
