Jalandhar, May 28, 2025: Manoranjan Kalia, former Minister of Punjab and Member of the National Executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party, expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, former Member of Parliament and former Minister of Punjab, who passed away after a prolonged illness at Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, a veteran Akali leader, had a distinguished political career spanning over 50 years, during which he made significant contributions to Punjab, the Punjabi language, and Punjabi culture. His passing has created a political void that will be difficult to fill in the near future.
He said may God grant strength to his son Parminder Singh Dhindsa, former Finance Minister of Punjab, and other family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Dhindsa was a contemporary of my father, the late Manmohan Kalia, former Minister of Punjab. Two generations of the Kalia family had the opportunity to work alongside him.
