Joint Awareness Session Organized by ESIC and EPFO
The Sub-Regional Office of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ludhiana, in collaboration with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ludhiana, organized a joint awareness session for employers on July 29, at the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Focal Point, Ludhiana.

Ludhiana, July 30, 2025: The Sub-Regional Office of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ludhiana, in collaboration with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ludhiana, organized a joint awareness session for employers on July 29, at the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Focal Point, Ludhiana.
The session was graced by the presence of Pranesh Kumar Sinha, Joint Director, (In-Charge), ESIC Ludhiana and Paritoshdeep Singh Sekhon, Regional Commissioner, EPFO Ludhiana, as distinguished guests.
During the event, Ajeet Kumar Singh, Assistant Director, ESIC, explained detail information to the participating employers about the recently launched "Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees (SPREE) 2025", which will remain in force from July 1 to December 31, 2025. Under this scheme, employers can digitally register their establishments and employees through the ESIC portal, Shram Suvidha portal, and the MCA portal. Registrations will be deemed valid from the date declared by the employer, and there will be no inspection or demand for past records for the period prior to registration.
While elaborating on SPREE 2025, Pranesh Kumar Sinha explained that the initiative encourages voluntary compliance by eliminating the fear of retrospective penalties and simplifying the registration process. The primary objective is to bring unregistered establishments and workers under the ESIC coverage, ensuring comprehensive social security. Additionally, representatives from EPFO shared information about the upcoming Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ELI), scheduled to launch on August 1, 2025.
Prominent officials from CICU, including Honey Sethi (General Secretary), Ajay Bharti (Finance Secretary), Rajneesh Bansal, and Ashish Bansal, were present and appreciated the initiative. They remarked that such sessions are commendable efforts by ESIC to raise employer awareness about various government schemes.
The event was also attended by Manoj Kumar Bangalia (Assistant Director), Suresh Kumar, Ravindra Kumar, Harmesh Lal (Social Security Officers), Ramesh Lal (Branch Manager, Focal Point), representatives from EPFO, and over 80 employers and their representatives.
