Inspects LLR Hospital and gives important suggestions for Improving medical facilities

Kapurthala, October 8, 2026: Dr. K. Krishna Kumar, Director General/Railway Health Services (DG/RHS), Railway Board, visited Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala today. During his visit, he met Shri Ajay Nandan, General Manager, RCF, and held discussions with him and other senior officers on various issues.
Dr. K. Krishna Kumar conducted a detailed inspection of RCF’s Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital and reviewed the medical facilities being provided to railway employees and their families. During the hospital inspection, Principal Chief Medical Officer Dr. Latha Ramalingam, Dr. Rajesh Mohan, Dr. Jaideep Titoria, Dr. Pramod Kumar and other medical officers and staff were present.
He inspected the Oxygen Gas Plant, ICU, Male and Female Wards, various offices, Dietetics Department, Laundry, Physiotherapy Department, Magnetotherapy Department, Dentistry Department, OPD, Pharmacy, Emergency Ward, Laboratory and X-Ray Room. During the inspection, he obtained information about the facilities and functioning of various departments and interacted with medical officers and staff. Dr. K. Krishna Kumar minutely reviewed the arrangements at the hospital and gave important and useful suggestions for making medical services more effective and convenient.
During the visit, Dr. K. Krishna Kumar also participated in a tree plantation programme along with officers and employees and planted saplings in the LLR Hospital premises. On the occasion, officers and employees also planted saplings and conveyed the message of environmental conservation.
Thereafter, Dr. K. Krishna Kumar held a meeting with representatives of the recognised union and associations. Various issues concerning employees and matters related to healthcare services were discussed during the meeting. He listened attentively to the representatives and provided necessary suggestions and guidance.
The visit of Dr. K. Krishna Kumar was significant in furthering RCF’s efforts towards the continuous upgradation of medical facilities, environmental conservation, and providing better healthcare services to railway employees and their families.
