KMV- An institution draped in patriotic fervour

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya was soaked in patriotic fervour as it celebrated 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' to remember India's war victory and to pay tribute to Kargil Martyrs who are the symbol of courage and sacrifice for safeguarding the borders of the Country. Kargil Vijay Diwas marks the victory of Indian soldiers in recapturing the mountain heights that were captured by the Pakistani Army on July 26, 1999. On this occasion, Poster making competition was organised for the students in which students from various streams participated with full zeal & enthusiasm. Students created beautiful posters depicting the feeling of patriotism & sacrifice made by our brave soldiers in protecting the Motherland. Students also paid an emotional tribute to the Kargil martyrs.
Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that Patriotism is a social value & the feeling of patriotism is to be inculcated at school & college level to make sure that student becomes the responsible citizen of our Nation. She explained the students that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a symbol of India’s proud, valour and brave leadership. We should all bow to the soldiers who, with their bravery drove the enemy from the tough hills of Kargil and waved the Indian flag.
