It truly embodies the Indian ethos of a shared creative continuum, rather than a monolithic cultural narrative.”
In his message for the theatre lovers of the city and Punjab, Shri Chittaranjan Tripathy, Director, NSD, stated: “If I were to speak about the 25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav, the first phrase that comes to mind is a Mahakumbh of theatre—of the people, by the people and for the people—an all-inclusive, non-elitist international theatre festival. Punjab is a land of great writers, singers and musical traditions, and the city of Jalandhar has its own essence since ancient times. It gives us immense pleasure to present BRM 2026 here. We look forward to great participation from the city in this festival.”
Dr. Lakhanpal told media that BRM 2026 has long been regarded an internationally acclaimed theatrical extravaganza, and its presence at LPU marks a significant moment for students and audiences in Punjab. He noted that students traditionally travelled to Delhi to witness the festival’s celebrated productions, It is truly a big moment for our campus. We are delighted to be part of Bharat Rang Mahotsav’s historic edition and to provide our students the opportunity to experience this grand cultural confluence here at LPU,” he said.
