Jakhar's Baseless Allegations Against Punjab Government A Desperate Cry Before Ludhiana West By-election: Lalchand Kataruchakk

Chandigarh/Ludhiana, June 13, 2025: AAP Punjab Minister Lalchand Kataruchakk has fiercely countered BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar’s baseless allegations against the AAP government, calling them a desperate ploy to mislead voters before the Ludhiana West by-election. Kataruchakk said, “Jakhar’s hypocrisy knows no bounds. The BJP, which provides shelter to the most corrupt people in the country, has no moral standing to question AAP’s transparent, pro-people governance.”

Kataruchakk didn’t hold back in exposing BJP’s “washing machine” politics. “From Maharashtra to Punjab, BJP has embraced corrupt leaders with open arms. Leaders accused of scams worth thousands of crores suddenly transform into saints once they don BJP’s colors,” he stated.

Slamming Jakhar’s history of political opportunism, Kataruchakk remarked, “Jakhar, who was part of Congress, a party he now derides for corruption, remains silent on BJP’s own corruption scandals. His political career has always prioritized personal gains over Punjab’s welfare.”

Taking on Jakhar’s allegations of land usurpation, Kataruchakk defended the AAP government’s Land Pooling Policy. “Unlike BJP’s history of favoring land mafias and big capitalists, our land pooling scheme is truly farmer-friendly. It ensures that farmers, landlords, and citizens benefit equally. BJP’s opposition to this policy stems from its desire to protect its capitalist friends who exploit farmers and home buyers,” he charged.

Highlighting AAP’s zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, Kataruchakk said, “Under CM Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, we’ve taken strict action against wrongdoing, even within our own party. In stark contrast, BJP shields its corrupt leaders and rewards them with plum posts.”

Instead of addressing real issues such as unemployment, sanitation, and farmer welfare, BJP’s state president has resorted to empty rhetoric, Kataruchakk observed. “If Jakhar is genuinely concerned about corruption, he should first clean his own house, starting with his party’s top leadership,” he suggested.

Kataruchakk reassured the people of Punjab about AAP’s commitment to their welfare. “From free electricity to healthcare, from quality education to job creation, AAP is delivering on its promises. The people of Ludhiana and Punjab know we work for them, not for mafias or corporates,” he asserted.

Kataruchakk concluded with a sharp warning for the BJP, “Punjab’s people are too wise to fall for BJP’s lies and hypocrisy. On June 19, they will show the BJP that its politics of hatred and corruption have no place in Punjab.”
