IZA interacts with IIA members

Ludhiana: Experts from International Zinc Association (IZA) interacted with leading members of Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) in Ludhiana and shared their global experience regarding best use of zinc in our life and total built environment. 

The International Zinc Association (IZA) was created in 1991 by a group of leading zinc and steel producers to represent the zinc industry globally.

 IZA’s activities are to sustainably grow markets and maintain the industry’s license to operate through effectively managed initiatives in research and development, technology transfer, and communication of the value of zinc. Operating internationally and locally through its regional affiliates, IZA helps sustain the long-term global demand for zinc and its markets by promoting such key end uses as corrosion protection for steel and the essentiality of zinc in human health and crop nutrition. 

IZA’s main programs are Sustainability & Environment, Technology & Market Development and Communications. Headquartered in Durham, North Carolina (USA), IZA also operates regionally through their offices in China, Europe, Latin America, North America, India and Southern Africa. 

Meeting was organised by Madhav KRG Group,  a fast-growing reputed and responsible corporate founded in 2002, under the flagship brand, 'JYOTI'  producing  products such as  Tempcore SG Rebars,  HRC 100 Pipes & Tubes, Zncoat 120 Pipes & Tubes, HR Zncoat 120 Coils and Wire Rods with a vision to keep enlarging it. The environment and social responsibility of ‘Giving back to society’ inspired company; to establish a recycling unit in 2016 and investing in individual’s life through CSR activities. 

Ar Sanjay Goel- Chairman IIAPC (Punjab Chapter) and one of the director of Ludhiana Smart City Ltd shared his viewpoints with respect to losses in construction due to excessive use of corrossive steel.

General Body Meeting of IIALC ( Ludhiana Centre) and IIAPC  ( Punjab Chapter) also held to introduce its new office bearers at all levels .

Ar Harinder Boparai- a leading architect in Ludhiana took charge as Chairman IIALC along with his team including Ar Balbir Bagga -  Vice Chairman,  Ar Rajan Tangri- Treasurer,  Ar Bimaldeep Singh - Secretary and executive members include Ar Usha Rani, Ar Sumit Sharma,  Ar Arjun Sharma,  Ar Baljit Bawa and Ar Nikhil Jindal 

Office bearers of Punjab Chapter are Ar Sanjay Goel- Chairman , Ar Pritpal Singh Ahluwalia- Vice Chairman,  Ar Yogesh Singla - Treasurer , Ar Dinesh Bhagat- Jt Secretary and Ar Anmol Pupneja  - Joint Secretary. 

Ten executive members, two coopt members and four special invitees also got elected. 

Other Centre Chairman who attended event with their teams include Ar Harinder Boparai- Ludhiana,  Ar Atul Singla- Jullundhur,  Ar Sanjeev Aggarwal- Amritsar ,Ar Rupinder Ahuja- Bathinda and Ar Rajinder Sandhu-Patiala .

Chapter/State Chairman who attended event include Ar Nand Chandel from Mandi, Ar Shiv Dev Singh from Chandigarh,  Ar Puneet Sethi from Gurgaon and  Ar Ashish Gupta from Delhi.

Detailed Presentation was given by Dr Rahul Sharma director India - IZA,  Randhir Rathaur VP Madhav KRG group and Ar Surinder Bahga - former Chapter Chairman .
