IWC Jalandhar Leads 16-Day ‘Unite and Orange The World’ Campaign to Raise Awareness Against Violence on Women

Jalandhar, December 13, 2025: IWC of Jalandhar has actively participated in the International Innerwheel Campaign "Unite and Orange The World” under the excellent leadership of President Inderkiran Toor.
The motive was to spread awareness on the problem of violence against women and how to get rid of it. Members of IWC Jalandhar, on all 16 days of the campaign, went to 16 different places in the town and met people from different strata of society. Views were exchanged with elderly people, the educated lot, uneducated women, factory and showroom employees, school teachers and staff, etc. Drawing/ Poster Making Competitions, campaign marches and a dance show depicting the strength of women, were held in schools for students of class IX to XII. Trophies and Certificates were given to the winners.
The main focus was on types and causes of abuse, its effect on mental and physical growth of girls, and solutions to overcome this problem. Members advised everyone to make a promise to themselves that they will never allow anyone to violate the
dignity of any female in front of their eyes.
Overall the entire campaign of 16 days was a great success and an eyeopener for Members too.
Places visited during the campaign were as under: GS Senior Secondary School, Jamsher Khas; Kundan Bridh Aashram; Mandi Fenton Ganj School; Club's Executive Committee; UC Kindies School; Toyota Castle Showroom; Civil Hospital Area Market; Divya Jyoti Sansthan; Model Town Market; Devi Talab Mandir side; Anand and Anand Sports Factory; Eklavya School, Partapura; Vikram Hospital; Jalandhar Heights - I (residents); Jalandhar Heights – 2 (Shopping Centre); and Tyagmurti Vidya Mandir School.
