Ivy World School, Jalandhar awarded prestigious International School Award by British Council

Ivy World School, Jalandhar added another feather in it’s cap when it was awarded the British Council’s prestigious International School Award 2017-2020 in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.
The International School Award is a badge of honour for schools that showcase outstanding work in international education, establishing links with partner schools overseas giving an international platform and a global stage to the thought process of young minds.
The award was given away by Mr. Jim Booth, Chief Operating Officer British Council in New Delhi on 13th December 2017, which was attended by the Principal Mrs. S.Chauhan and ISA coordinator Mrs. Manju Verma during a glittering ceremony organized at the British High Commission, New Delhi.
For this award the school collaborated with Gems Westminster School Dubai and worked on three imperative projects – The UAE Day, The Cross Cultural Fest and Traditional Cross Cultural Sports Event. Ivy World School was amongst the top 200 schools all over the country to be recognized through this prominent award. Since last one year, the school had been organizing several international cross curricular activities in the school which enriched their curriculum and were enjoyed by the students.
The management of Vasal Educational Society congratulated the entire staff and students who worked incredibly hard, over a period of an year to win this award. They also added that such awards are a chance for schools to demonstrate the important work they’re doing to bring the world into their classrooms.
