Ludhiana, December 15, 2023: Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, has initiated a key development with the establishment of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). This strategic move aims to propel the university to global prominence, solidifying its position as the nation’s foremost Agriculture University.
IQAC’s primary mandate is to set and uphold rigorous quality standards across PAU’s multifaceted activities. Through robust feedback mechanisms from stakeholders, it aims to foster a culture of excellence and innovation. This establishment is poised to revolutionize PAU’s academic landscape, elevating the quality of education, research, extension activities, and administrative practices. Empowered by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, IQAC assumes the essential role of conducting comprehensive audits encompassing both academic and administrative domains.
Dr. Jagdeep Singh Sandhu, Principal Biotechnologist, will work as the Coordinator of the Cell. Along with a diverse cohort of 18 members, IQAC integrates university officers, faculty representatives, non-teaching staff, industry experts, local trusts, alumni, and Board of Management members. This amalgamation of expertise and perspectives positions IQAC as a pivotal agency entrusted with steering PAU towards excellence.
