Hyderabad, May 10, 2017: INVESCO opens its First Innovation Hub in India at Hyderabad. At Invesco Ltd(NYSE; IVZ) we have opened doors of our Hyderabad Innovation Hub to Local Startup Community today informed Donie Lochan, MD, Global Chief Technology Officer and Dave Dowsett Global Head for Strategy & Innovation of Invesco while addressing a press conference here in city today.

Emerging Technologies allow us to work creatively together with outside talent without compromising any of our data, integrity or security and it is also the path way forward into the future as we explore a multitude of emerging tech such as block chain, mixed reality and big data and machine learning" said Donie Lochan, Cheif Technology Officer for Invesco.

Invesco recently filed a patent on a novel global enterprise product built from its Hyderabad office and this Innovation Hub will accelerate our efforts and support to such projects in future with access to new emerging technologies.
The Invesco Hyderabad houses 1100 staff. This is its first Innovation Hub among all its locations spread over all over the world, they informed.
INVESCO is the first global asset manager to set up an innovation hub in India in Hyderabad. It is the first of its kind of a hub, which will focus to tap into local talent in building innovative products to its global customer network, Donie Lochan informed.
The goal of opening the innovation hub to the local startup community are threefold: 1. Expanding Awareness for the internal innovative culture and mindset of Invesco, 2. Engaging local startups to encourage strategic partnerships that allow us to solve problems our industry faces collectively and to offer the benefit of having an outsiders view , experience and perspective. 3. To energize talented individuals to join our team because they are interested and passionate about the ideas and technology we purse, informed Donie Lochan.
This space was opened for employees in January 2017 to access state-of-the-art technology like Microsoft Surface Pros and fully loaded work stations, as well as fun elements like a mini putting green and wall to wall white boards conducive to group brainstorming sessions and catalyzing the seeds of great ideas that can be nurtured further. The Innovation Hub serves as a fun and collaborative space for Invesco employees to help align strategies and ideas.
The innovation hub is launched to promote the ongoing innovation activities, conducting 24hrs Hackathon events, filing patents and others. The company has kicked off 24hour Hackathon today and sixty employees have participated in it.
The Innovation Hub highlights importance of informality, play and group working spaces championed throughout startup culture to foster creativity and achieve more collaborative solutions and empower the collective intelligence of the larger workforce, intrapreneurship, and breakthrough thinking.
