International webinar on “Corn seed industry in US” organised at Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions

Jalandhar: With the objective of familiarizing students with latest development in American Agriculture Industry, Academic Cell of IHGI organized an international webinar on “Corn Seed Industry in US”. The resource person for the webinar was Dr. Jasdeep Singh Mutti, Research Scientist at Corteva Agriscience, USA.

The Webinar started with the welcome speech by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur (Academic Coordinator, Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions). 

Dr. Jasdeep Mutti shared very qualitative information for awakening students regarding the modern techniques of farming. Different aspects including in his session are US Corn at a glance, Types of Corn, U.S. Corn Grain Yield Trends, and Corn Usage by different segments in US etc. He gave statistical insight through growth trajectory in terms of yield of US Corn starting from hybrid seeds to Biotech Traits. The speaker also shared important tips to prepare for research oriented career in Agriscience with the students.

He enlightened the students with plethora of information regarding vital career in Agri Management and Agriscience Engineering. Students curiously asked question to the speaker regarding farming in US and also modern farming techniques.  

The webinar was organized by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur (Academic Coordinator, Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions). The vote of thanks was extended by Asst Prof. Mithilesh Pandey (HOD, Agriculture Dept.). He stated that such activities empowers students mind to pursue the career development as professionals.
