Chandigarh, Dec 5, 2023: International Seminar (Hybrid) on Global Peace & Health Maximisation- a community perspective was held at Adikavi Nannaya University Rajamahendravaram, India from 29th to 30th November 2023.

Professor Emeritus Jitendra Mohan was honoured with lifetime achievement award for the lifetime effective psycho social & scientific intervention in the field of sports psychology rendering quintessential services in the chosen field and carved a niche for himself as “Sports Psychologist Par Excellence”. The award was given by the vice chancellor professor Padma Raju of Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamundri. Professor Mohan in his acceptance address thanked Honourable Vice Chancellor and Professor Sunkara Nagendra Kishore Founder Director, R&D Centre Sports/Community Psychologist. Professor Mohan said human excellence is a form of self enquiry. There should be a flame of inquiry to learn, to see, to find out the inhibitions of motives, intentions and ambitions wither away.

In the afternoon professor Mohan was presented with a guard of honour and he distributed prizes to the winners of four hundred girls in relay races. Students from four schools participated in the special events. The coaches and other dignitaries witnessed the Khelo India programme.

On the second day a stress management workshop was held for physical education teachers, sports specialists and sports psychologists by Professor Mohan, Professor Meena Sehgal and Dr. Sunkara Nagendra Kishore. It may be mentioned that Professor Emeritus Jitendra Mohan was the founder president of Sports Psychology Association of India and has been actively associated with research training and guiding sports activities in India and foreign countries. He is the only Asian who has been honoured by the international society of sports psychology.
